About This Blogger

This blog is not necessarily about me, but it is written by me- and when I'm reading something by someone, I want a little context. So here's an abbreviated version!

I grew up as one of six children in a Christian family in the South.
I climbed a lot of trees between the ages of 8 and 13.
I was home-schooled, public schooled, Catholic schooled, and private schooled.
When I was 11, my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He died when I was 14.
As a result of that season, I tried pretty much everything to find healing and life on my own terms.

Growth and change came when I learned that for me, healing and life could only come from the One who gave His life for me.
I finished high school with a desire to sing again, and to share the good story God was telling through my life, even through my greatest suffering.
The glorious provision of God for me was to attend Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ, where His story for me and before me continued to unfold and transform me.

While in college, I met the man who is now my husband.
After our wedding in June 2010, we moved to Dallas to attend Redeemer Seminary where we both received Master's degrees in theology to prepare for more of the same: being amazed by God and telling the amazing works of God.

On June 30, 2014, we said goodbye to Dallas and moved to Fairfax, VA to accept our first call at a local church where are are continuing to learn and grow, and to love the One who has given us Life.

I hope that what is written here will point you to Him.
